Vision boards and fiction

How do you keep the visuals of your fiction in your head while you walk around in a non-fiction world?

Sadly I don’t live on the North Shore of Oahu. So one part of my writing is a vision board… for me that’s throwing all the pictures and people together in powerpoint because I am just that cool.

With one month ’til release, here’s the vision board for INTO THE BLUE. I printed this out and carried it around in my bag for about ten months. These kids were always in my head. The story’s about ocean and found family, surfers and boardmaking and Tai and Ollie and Sunny and Hannah and Jaime. Oh and falling hard for your best friend.ITB inspiration
