A sweet sweet weekend

On Saturday night my wife and I went to a 1930s style ball, complete with swing dancers and a walk on the hallowed Sydney Cricket Ground. We dressed up in quasi appropriate clothing and accidentally won an electric blanket. The ball raised money for Windgap Foundation which provides supported employment and accommodation and training for people with intellectual disabilities.

The next morning I opened my eyes to a bunch of messages, emails and tweets. And this thoughtful and lovely review from Publisher’s Weekly. This is my first review and it’s a generous and enthusiastic one. I felt like they understood my cheerful little tapestry of a book, the good and bad of it.

This is what my face looked like.

My hair was still in faux victory rolls.

  1. Rosie Bojangles says:

You are rocking that look better than Zelda Fitzgerald the morning afternoon. Adorably adorable. Which is the best kind.
